“The Nature Of Love”

Posted on

She’s my atmosphere…
When I breathe,
I feel her move,
deep inside of me.
She’s my earth…
Put my feet down,
Feel her gravity,
underneath the ground.
She’s my wind…
And where it blows,
I always know,
which way to go.
She’s my fire…
Dancing with change,
I’m the ashes that rise,
from out of her flames.
She’s my soft rain…
I’m covered in stains,
she sweetly caresses,
and washes away.
She’s my light…
Illuminating everything,
When all the world glows,
I’m lost in her heartstrings.
She’s my old tree…
Her roots grow strong,
Sturdy and tall,
I wanted her all along.

She’s my atmosphere…
And now I can’t breathe,
Because she walked,
away from me.
She’s my earth…
The gravity left also,
And I’m grasping for something,
that I can hold on to.
She’s my wind…
And today it’s so still,
Desperately I want,
to again feel it’s chill.
She’s my fire…
and I need her to burn,
But right now only flickers,
defiant and stern.
She’s my soft rain…
And now there’s a drought,
My world is too dry,
I cannot live without.
She’s my light…
Now everything’s dark,
I can’t find my way,
with not even a star.
She’s my old tree…
And I won’t cut her down,
I’ll sit at her base,
and just stare at the ground.
She’s my universe…
And with her I’m free,
But when she walks away,
I struggle to breathe.
